THESE ARE A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS

GLACIER NATIONAL PARK+

Foy's Lake House is about 45 minutes from the West Glacier National Park entrance. If this is your first time visiting the park, before the entrance, in the summer, there are a number of shops where you can grab food, drinks, sunscreen, and souvenirs. There are many great things to see in the park, but if you have only one day or part of a day, the Avalanche Lake area is our favorite place.

As you are leaving, or going to the West Glacier entrance, be sure to stop for a slice of pie at Cheri's Pie Bar inside of Glacier Highland restaurant. And definitely stop at Glacier Distilling Company in Coram to try more great spirits besides the Bearproof huckleberry flavored whiskey included in your welcome gift.

FLATHEAD LAKE

Well known as the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi, this laker’s paradise has it all. Swimming, hiking, wildlife watching, boating and fishing are all popular here. This is also where you can learn more about the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes as the southern part of the lake lies within the Flathead Indian Reservation.

WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN RESORT

There are fun activities here for all four seasons. Go mountain bike riding in late spring and throughout the summer, take a scenic gondola ride, or ski your heart out in the winter months. Time on Big Mountain ensures you will check all of your adventures boxes.

Be sure to also visit the charming town of Whitefish, where you will find great restaurants, dessert shops, local festivals, and more.

FOY'S LAKE AREA

Rightfully so, we are a bit biased that the is one of the  best areas in Flathead Valley. Besides the striking turquoise waters, you are also minutes away from some of the best views in the valley at Lone Pine State Park and Herron Park, where you can access over 18 miles of interconnected, looped trails on the Foys to Blacktail trail.

BLACKTAIL SKI AREA

If you want to live like a local, this is the place. For those who are familiar with a reverse hike, well here you will do a reverse ski. Everyone starts at the top of the slope and gets a run in before ever riding a chair lift. With 100% natural snow, over 250” of annual snowfall, 1,440 feet of vertical, and picture perfect views of Flathead Lake, your heart will race with adrenaline while falling in love with this charming mountain.
